Karen With a visit to Los Angeles, Hank has to find her, taking over the business and the plan, the family moved to New York. Meanwhile, Charlie has to work with Marcy crush on Rick Springfield, especially when invited to dinner deal. Hank’s trying to keep everything well with Karen, that even greater involvement with the campus ladies to share.
In the meantime, Charlie Sue client tries to leave up, the agency complains Hank and Becca is a terrible role model for preventing them. A night with his student, Jackie, and two strippers results in poor awakening as to Charlie, Rick Springfield, Jill, Felicia, and his boss are shown in the Hank’s house to leave for the girls.

Problems with Becca and her friend Chelsea bothers visit Karen, who want their families to reunite. Becca Karen pays a visit to New York for the weekend, and Hank is left to itself, to appear on his old friend Mike Zlosowski (Kevin Corrigan) Long Iceland. Together the two have a great time at Sue’s party Collini. In the meantime, suspend the revelation of a secret.

Californication is about the popular but unproductive writer Hank Moody, who has lived for some time in Los Angeles. It was before the start of the series of action by the filming of his book “God hates us all” known, although he himself does not think much of this film, because his work has been reinterpreted into a Hollywood kitsch, entitled A crazy incidental called love. Although Hank is constantly changing partners, “he mourns after the failure of the relationship with Karen, the mother of his 12-year-old daughter, Becca, in fact his family life. Karen however, is preparing to marry during the first season with the publisher, Bill and the father of her daughter seems to have closed. Meanwhile, Hank takes a job at Hell-A magazine, not knowing that Bill is the publisher of the magazine. In addition, Hank learns in a bookstore who know lascivious 16-year-old Mia and the couple have a one-night stand, not knowing that she is a minor, and Bill’s daughter.
Recurring themes of the first season are the relations of the persons referred to each other, and Hanks extravagant experience with changing sexual partners, alcohol and drugs. Regularly agent Charlie Runkle is also Hanks, his wife Marcy, and discussed both Charlie’s relationship with secretary Dani, the sadomasochistic elements of implementation.
